Promoting health eating Snack and meal times are important. Eating represents a social time for children and adults and helps children to learn about healthy eating at meals, snack or meal times. Through discussion with parents I obtain information about the children’s dietary needs If a parent wishes for cooked meals to be provided please don’t hesitate to contact me. Water is available at all times. No fizzy or full sugar drinks will be permitted I try to encourage the children to drink water or milk as it helps when they start school as where they will only be permitted water or milk though the day. I believe that sweets, crisps, chocolates, etc. should be given as treats and these will still be given on special occasions like parties, celebrations, etc. Snacks which are offered and included in the price: Fresh fruit, unsweetened dried fruit such as raisins, vegetable sticks, toast. It is also good exercise for eating out. All meals and snacks are served with water, milk or fresh juice. REMEMBER TO LET US KNOW ABOUT ANY ALLERGIES SO THAT THESE CAN BE CATERED FOR. For children under the age of one I request that all meals be provided by the parent in case of any unknown allergies. With the help of the parent, I will cater for any special meal requirements. |
